HPI check interpretation

Out of curiosity, can anyone explain what all the dates mean on this bit? Was it written off in October 2021?

It's an MX5 first registered 17/5/2002 and changed hands from keeper 4 to keeper 5 10/7/22. Keeper 4 acquired it on 19/7/17. The CAT C came as a surprise to keeper 5. Was he stitched up by keeper 4?

Bonus question: If it was 2021, shouldn't it be a Cat S? (Change from C & D to S & N in 2017??)

Like I say, just curious - Keeper 5 has withdrawn it from sale.

The "Loss Date" is days after being first registered? Somethjng does t add up with loss date and entry date being so far apart!


Similarly does the app/website always show "Extensive Damage" for a cat C's or is that written on the entry in database?

The loss date is roughly the date that the car was registered in each case, but I don't know why that would be, or if it's normal.

I don't know - first cat C I've turned up!
