There is no such thing as Wind Chill on an inanimate object.Farside , don't you recall having to tie thick hessian corn sacks or fit special mufflers over front engined car radiators in severe frosty weather .? It's also a good reason to point radiator ends of cars to a wall so th wind chill does not kill the anti freeze treated coolant . I Germany we had three bottle of different antifreeze strengths on a shelf out side our guardrooms in the winter months . They were checked for crystals of ice every 20 min in severe cold weather .
Three time in 15 yrs of service life I was dragged out my slumbers to get dressed as warm as I could and go and help drain all vehicle rads of trucks parked outside as the temp was south of - 25 oC
