yes will have to take some pictures of it and post@brightspark, That looks like a nice little navel cannon there. Did you ever cast it?
I had a few attempts last year, plan to do more when I get time to remake furnace. I underestimated how much a pain it is when electric element falls loose!

Looking at @Kram 's fire clay/element build... Thinking to: 3D print the inner of a mould with a spiral on the outside. Should allow the element to sit perfectly, In segments for easy removal. Then place in a large container and fill the gap with this stuff...www.mig-welding.co.uk

Show me these old toys for self-education, plsApart from that, I've a Flamefast CRM 600S that is supposed to be able to melt cast iron, and one of the old drum type Kasenit units fitted with a 1.5" Amal compressed air assisted propane injector.
On full belt, the thing howls, and you can feel the ground vibrating.
About 75 kW, we reckon....
There's even some parts for a sand muller, awaiting further progress......
