Common Size Poly Bushes for Custom Engine Mounts?

I'm looking for a common, off-the-shelf, cheap poly bush that fits a standard tube size. I'm planning to make custom engine mounts for my 1.6L buggy. I like the bush type mounts as they're neat and compact and I have limited space around the engine.

I've noticed lots of super cheap leaf spring bushes for VW buses, pickups, and older Fords on eBay. However, the lack of dimensions means I can't figure out if they'll match with a tube. I've emailed a couple of sellers but I thought someone here might have solved this already.

I wouldn't know common sizes but I have turned polyurethane stock down for bushes that might be worth consideration

Top rear wishbone to the suspension upright on an MX5 looks similar size, I’ve got a bush in the shed I can measure it later if you like.

The tool I made just tig welded a hss blank to some mild.

Sharpenned to a razor edge, finish is pretty good.

30mm id tube 36mm long will do the job, 14mm bolt size.

It might not be chunky enough for your needs but if you look at Locost kitcars they use 25mm od, 21 id seamlees tube and Triumph herald metalatis bushes with a 21mm od and 9mm id which can be bought on ebay or the net.

Land Rover Part Number: 548205 is the metalastic bush that does various locations in Series Land Rover.
Dimensions : overall length 70mm (2 3/4"), inside diameter 14.3mm (9/16"), outside diameter 30.2mm (1 3/16").
From about a pound for Britpart up to £7 for "genuine Land Rover" ones.
The Britpart are surprisingly good for modern rubber components.
Or they are available a a split polyurethane bush (much easier to install).

Ha perfect, 38mm fits perfectly into 1.75" tube which I already have! Is it for the original MX5?

How light is it? Rubber might be better than poly

It's light.. 100kg... Lightest 1.6l in it's class. Yep poly isn't ideal and I may need to adjust the mounts again later.

Turning down some bushes is certainly an option, as is boring out a tube slightly to make bushes fit. That gives me space to adjust things.

@OJCar The Landie bushes will be useful for the gearbox and transfer box but may be a bit small for the main engine.

Superpro have a full size catalogue available which might be useful for you.
They also make some of the best off-the-shelf bushes going.
You can't go wrong with 1.5" OD bushes though there's loads of cars using that size in various inner diameters and lengths.

@rcx132 those are rear wishbone outer top bushes for a mk1 Mx5 or Eunos. That one is a poly copy of an orig rubber one, the originals are not split & you have to force them in. Update on the finished project. I looked at the bushes you've recommended but eventually settled on SJ413 suspension bushes (£32 for 12 poly bushes !!!!), they have plenty of meat and are a nice size for engine mounts. They roughly fitted into a scaffold tube offcut with some boring on my mini lathe.
