Mine would be a complete wast of space. Needless to say - I wore it out completely - to the point onf the cotton being threadbare in places - not helped by the occasional contact with tarmac....Wish I still had mine from when I was 17!

Mine got a holed left sleeve after a nasty old Sheepdog ambushed & went for me (I pulled my forearm away just enough for his teeth to just graze me, but the jacket copped it as the mutt pulled and shook like mad. Note: its hard to boot Fido in the grinner when you are off-balance & your arm is yanked down below knee height).Mine would be a complete wast of space. Barbour used to do repairs. They may even have been free once upon a time. This was when the factory was at Newcastleton, many years agoMine got a holed left sleeve after a nasty old Sheepdog ambushed & went for me (I pulled my forearm away just enough for his teeth to just graze me, but the jacket copped it as the mutt pulled and shook like mad. They still did as late as last year - and they are all menu priced so you can see what it'll cost before it goes there.Barbour used to do repairs. They may even have been free once upon a time. This was when the factory was at Newcastleton, many years ago

Last time I was at Stafford bike show some one was selling what looked identical jackets but without the branding for under £100 wish I had made a note as now I want one I cant find one, one thing I have noticed is sometimes they are £200ish in the local designer outlet village thing, but they tent to only have fashionable sizes so no proper XL's etc and nothing for people with the frontal beer bulge!I have one of these black Barbours. (For clarity, not me in the photo) It's a nice light weight and not too long. I don't wear the belt with it. Had mine a few years now and re waxed it several times. It got a nice worn look to it now. I did have a traditional Belstaff motorcycling jacket 30 odd years ago now when i was riding a motorbike daily. Really nice jacket but the price of them now is ridiculous, £500+ and theyre now more style than function. Quite fancy a traditional heavier green barbour as well though.
