Sip 130 packed up

Hi im new to the forum, first post and its a problem....sorry.
Right long winded so here we go.
I was given a sip130t with wire feed problems. It was brand new near as damn it. Sorted the wire problems, the bloke was using 0.9mm gasless wire on the 0.6mm wire roller. So sorted that and i have to admit i heard alot of bad press about these welders but this one i thought was great, i was getting a really good weld out of it. And then it just packed up. I have had the gun apart and its fine, continuity from the contact to the pcb. The fan works when i turn it on. I have no wire feed and no arc. The relay on the pcb looks caput as its cracked/broke but if i take the cover off the relay and use a piece of wood to make contact the wire feed works etc. Can i buy spares for the pcb or do i have to buy a complete pcb and where can i get spares from.

you can use a 12 volt relay from maplin just get one that can handle the amperage and your away

although i have to admit i have used a 12volt 40 amp car relay it worked perfect and still does

so if i get a relay from maplin will 40 amp be enough and will it be the same style or do i have to make up some wires and connections? Also will it be just the relay or is the transformer (i think thats it) likly to have packed up as well?

can you hear the relay operate even though it doesnt switch

you might get one with the same pin layout although dont hold your breath
the max amperage you realy need will be 13 amp but if you cant find one and dont intend to use the mig up full a 10 amp will do the job.

i used wires and monted the relay elsewhere

no there is nothing at all from the relay. no sounds or noises apart from the fan running. with the relay mounting being all cracked i thought if its easy to replace i would try that first. as i said if i actuate the relay manually (with a bit of wood) i get wire feed and an arc, which is why i suspect the relay

take it out and try it on a 12 volt supply if it works it may be the transformer on the pcb
but if your relay is cracked and had it for the cost its worth a try first

Have you got a wiring diagram for fitting an automotive relay. Im not great with electrics. I have looked on maplins and there relay is only rated to 6amps

they do sockets for those aswell and been 30amp should take a little more abuse

Flick all the power setting switches up and down a few times - they are cheap and sometimes don't make contact although they look like they have - when it happens you get nothing.....

he already stated that if he operates the relay manually it works so its a relay,pcb transformer or pcb problem

I have taken all the switches apart and cleaned the contacts. That was one of the first things i did as i had read all about the switches on here. Thanks for the advice though.
