It would. But my hands cant cope with that amount of use.
I don't remeber the gun brand but I sprayed an entire 1959 Austin Healey Frog Eyed Sprite with an electrc sprayer of the type that have a vibrating plunger pump mounted on top of the body in cellulose paint and it came out remarkably well - I impressed myself 
Mind you that WAS 45 years ago. The Frog Eye (680 ERL) is still being raced by a friend of a school friend !

It was probably a Burgess, Black Bakealite body with a glass jar for paint. My old man had one in the 50's.
it's all the masking that gets me, if you watch one of those yank programs flipping houses the whole room gets covered in plastic that you don't want painting.

Spraying is very fast, I sprayed my 11x5m office with a 15ft pitched ceiling in about an hour. It took a day and a half to mask two windows and the beams I didn't want painted. It then took me about 3h to clean up the spray machine (proper one) as it was borrowed to I wanted to return it in better condition.
So unless you're prepared to empty everything out of the room and mask everything else up then I wouldn't bother.
Our sitting room which is mostly empty we plan on spraying the ceiling to the picture rail because of all the intricate moulding around the ceiling. The faff of sheeting off the ceiling to spray the walls means we'll probably roller that instead.

I was hoping the "airless" sprayer type would cause less overspray. The room is a fair size 11x4.6, bit of a storage room at the mo; pile in the middle and cover it job, mask windows, tape the door up, do the lot in a oner. I'd be willing to throw it in the bin afterwards if it was sub 50quid
I've got a wagner electric jobby, and whilst it does a great job once you get the paint thinned just right and the airflow just right, the overspray is as bad as any spray gun.
It's brilliant for spraying furniture etc when you can get it masked up, and into the garage or somewhere that doesn't matter, but I wouldn't even consider using it in a furnished room unless your prepared to mask off every millimeter that you dont want paint on.
To be honest, I detest painting, but I wouldn't get the spray gun out unless I had a really good reason too, and I could probably do almost as good a job, quicker, and with a lot less mess with a brush (and I'd probably make less mess, just throwing the paint at the wall from the tin than I would spraying it).

a few i know bought a wagner one and seemed happy with it
liker everything else you would need to mask up

to be honest its not the rollering that takes the time its cutting in paint the walls and skirting white and will make it an lot easier

I bought a Wagner to spray white emulsion on the garage internal walls and ceiling. Roller was impractical as the bricks were both highly absorbant and textured.
Worked well, but I had very little masking to do.
I then used it to spray wood preservative on to the fence.
It's back in its box in the garage loft and unlikely to see the light of day for a very long time.

Wagner is the kit to go for
I have a wagner 510 but I have misplaced the nozzle and screw cap.
I have searched high and low on the Internet and can't find any spare nozzles or caps for them.
They lend themselves to 3D printing if they can't be purchased but I can't find any on the 3D repositories.
So be careful what you buy as spare parts are not easily sourced.
