Hi all,
I know there's going to be loads of information on here about lead loading, I did search but obviously put the wrong thing in as nothing came up.
So... Iv done lead loading many years ago now but I know alot has changed due to health and safety so I just wanted to see what people are using these days? While I remember the basics, my health has been shockingly bad in recent years and my memory is just as bad so I'm approaching this as a newbie all over again and if it all comes back to me that fantastic!
I found a couple of bits I had left in a box and had a quick go on a scrap panel and I'm assuming the torch I have now isn't best suited as the heat seamed to be doing more damage to that panel than the lead was good! The flame goes to a fine point, ideal for plumbing but not for lead loading (or so I found out)
If someone could point me in the right direction for best blend of stick, lead or lead free and what's being used for tinning id be greatful.
Thanks alot
