I charge £180 for a DSG fluid change and filter/Oring and new drain bung seal (plus in that price we do the dual clutch adjustments with a scan tool).
I buy the fluid in 208ltr drums as we do so many...
Are they reliable if serviced every 40k?I charge £180 for a DSG fluid change and filter/Oring and new drain bung seal (plus in that price we do the dual clutch adjustments with a scan tool).

do you do much with the VAQ 'e-differential' (the electric/hydraulic limited slip diff thing on the vrs petrol/golf gti)? they are amazing to drive, but i bet they aren't cheap to fix...

My dad and brother have had a couple of Skodas with dsg boxes and had no issues although none of their cars have done big miles.
The local guy has only done an Audi TT and bought the tool for the job. Are the the same tool? You might have a job.I charge £180 for a DSG fluid change and filter/Oring and new drain bung seal (plus in that price we do the dual clutch adjustments with a scan tool).

Everything working apart from interior lights. If it's like the VW's there is no door switch, it's all done by a microswitch which is part of the lock. The same switch works the headlights/sidelights left on alarm if that is not working either that's probably your fault.
one door or all doors?Just noticed the interior lights not working by door opening, tried most of the options, they work manualy but not by door opening. Tried the hand book to no avail. Is it maybe in the car menu? Anyway It's doing me nut in. 2014 Octavia elegance 2 ltr diesel. I must be be missing something. ( Probably sense).
Norm.
All doors. Just a thought, the alarm came on a month or so back, the cause was the front passenger door not fully closed. Don't know if that had anything to do with it.one door or all doors?
not a hidden fuse is thereAll doors.
try the switch manual to auto flick it back and forwards a few times could be a bad contactJust noticed the interior lights not working by door opening, tried most of the options, they work manualy but not by door opening. 2018 Volvo V40 ‘Inscription’ now parked outside.
Seems quite nippy when you shunt the gear selector over to sport mode. Lots more road noise than the Disco, though. Swings and roundabouts.
Haynes Manuel's, a thing of the past for when owners expected to roll up their sleeves and replace a gearbox on a Saturday afternoon! Why there's no need for such things now we have these lovely reliable efficient electric cars.2018 Volvo V40 ‘Inscription’ now parked outside.
Seems quite nippy when you shunt the gear selector over to sport mode. Lots more road noise than the Disco, though. Swings and roundabouts. It’ll be much cheaper to run and hopefully won’t keep failing in complex and expensive ways.
Disco went into limp mode a few days ago. Wife is so used to it she just carried on, then turned it off and on again.
At 34,000 miles, my hope is that the Volvo will be at the right point in the bathtub failure curve.
Edit: I’ve always, since I was 17, bought a Haynes manual for my cars, but there isn’t one for this model. Any alternatives? I know the Haynes aren’t brilliant, but the info you get for the price is pretty good.
