That was my wife's due date for our eldest son's birth. She was heavily pregnant at home and I was at work, watched TV in work most of the afternoon. She went overdue and son wasn't born until 20th. Glad that he wasn't born on that day, he's about to turn 22 and starting a masters degree.

I remember coming home to my wife who was visibly distressed. She said "Have you seen what those b***Ards have done"

I also remember exactly tly where I was during the 7/7 London bombings. I was working at a site in Blackfriars which was a 10 foot cable tunnel under the Thames. That day I was stood down so out in the compound and I remember hearing endless wails of sirens outside the site. Then my cousin phoned me to say that our other cousin was on the Edgware train and was badly burned.

I was at work and thought it was a prank at first. Wife's cousin was at the Pentagon, on the other side, almost ran the wrong way to get out. A friend lives close to Shanksville where another plane nose dived into the ground. They know where it is, ground penetrating radar found the engines about 12.5 metre's down. Still there.
