A few years back a customer gave me his spare well cover for the wel in his front room, the builders had scratched. I used to look wondering what to do with it, I wanted to avoid a table as it seemed too obvious.
Then I made a dome recently, (pictures to follow when I get the right light for photo's) to top section when inverted looked like a good basis for a table.
So I had one of those great frenzied days and made this in one hit.
How to finish it? I did wonder about galvanising it but probably no, powder coating was a brief option but no. Probably rust it, sand it back and lacquer it. It does wobble a little bit so I may brace the middle of the legs, probably with a line small loops linking the legs around the middle.
