Somehow I have managed to get permission to take a bit of the garden to extend my shed. The existing shed is on a concrete base, so my plan is to extend this out to fit a standard pre-made 8x10 shed. I will then butt this up against the existing shed, and knock through (with appropriate supports for the roof of the existing shed).
It seems like all the sheds I see on the net are based on a wooden floor. Provided there is some form of damp proof between the concrete and the wood, in theory could I just bolt the new shed to the concrete base? That would give me a much stronger floor.

) structures for long lengths of steel stock, rebar etc, above that, narrow brackets for long lengths of wood. There will be a trapdoor to the left of the picture which allows me to store and manipulate 3600mm stock. I'll be moving the horizontal bandsaw in there too, next to the linishing machine. Plenty of room left for an eight foot work table.
