Well you certainly gave it enough time to stabilize.
Unless you have so much thermal loss that the can't boiler keep up.
How about using a 2nd hand pressure cooker ?

Tried the temp probe in the middle of the haynets today, it even hit 90°C at one point 
I meant is it the same as the front line one or the prescription one that I would get prescribed by a vet.

Fiprinol is the ingredient in front line, products containing it are available with out prescription on line!

I have yet to find out what a vet would prescribe for fleas.
Ok Cheers. I can buy front like products over the counter but I have been told the formula has now been altered and its not as good as it used to be.

I asked my neighbor, that used to have horses, he still makes hay.
He said the Steaming is not for sterilizing, more just for the dust.
They had horses that had the dust problems, and they just kept a spray bottle
with water, and spritz the hay just before feeding.

So your doing it for more than just dust.
He told me it's done for dust, never mentioned changing the hay itself.
I will tell him next time I see him.

A small animal vet will tell you to use what ever they stock that they make most money on……but you really need to know what you are actually trying* to treat first. Sometimes, mites, and allergies have similar symptoms to fleas.
Weve been baling the last of our shared hay crop today, looks better than last year, should really get it tested. Few left (80) to stack to tomorrow, thankfully done for another year.
