anyone own a parafin gun ?

wondered what they spray like ? is it a jet or spray , and much force?

thinking of getting one to oil up a chassis

Got an air powered one, came as a kit from Machine Mart, so a cheapy.
Used it recently to clean my engine of grease, road dirt and oil build up. So in answer to your question, its a jet.

Not much good for spraying unless you want more on the surroundings.

I used to have one which worked off a compressor - the brass nozzle was adjustable from spray to jet.

Very useful for degreasing I found.

Put boiling water in straight from the kettle and its close to steam cleaning.

Ive used it for really thick horrid house paint and my spot grit blast gun to spray render in the past. Mostly to just get a rapid deployment so I can flick over the surface with a brush/roller or trowel.
You dont get any real control, spray pattern or anything fancy like that its more of a dispersed coarse jet than a pattern. but if your oiling a chassis it wont really matter will it?

with oil or waxoyl?
A schutz gun with a shortened nozzle works well with wax.

I have a cheap gun and it is possible to adjust the jet at the brass nozzle. I would imagine it would be ideal for spraying oil.
