Rebar supplier Rossendale, Lancashire

I need some 12mm rebar but have never purchased it before. Who sells rebar? Does it come from usual steel stock holders or is it more a construction materials supplier thing?

I am in Rossendale so K Steels is near me, or perhaps Royton steel stock in Rochdale, but they were steel sections and sheet.

Next thing is cost. How much would you expect to pay for 12mm rebar? I presume they are in 6m lengths so will need 3 lengths.

To be honest 12mm black round bar would do, but I presume rebar is cheaper?

I only need is for ground pins at 300mm long do don't want to buy anything expensive.

K Steels are one of the best (and cheapest) suppliers around "we" have used them for years. You won't be able to grind rebar satisfactorily for a pin though, you need to give us more context of the purpose of this "pin". If you just need 12mm ground pins I would just buy some lengths of silver steel, which is of course parallel ground.

His wording is ambiguous, but I think he is using 'ground' in the sense of banging the pin into God's green earth.

You can get it from brundles if you are ordering anything from there. Around £40 delivered for three 6m lengths.

Thanks gents. Yes Argoshield, using them as a large nail into the ground really. I cut them to 600, then cut at 45 degrees at 300 and weld a washer to the straight end. Its just to stop things moving when on the ground.

I will give K steels a call on Monday. They are the nearest too, so that's a bonus!
