Similarly I looked at those and cut them into single monacles. The battery led is really good.
Best thing I've found is poundland +3.5 glasses, for me very good with upclose things. Beyond that, microscope app on phone and WiFi microscope from eBay.

I have these too, and they are the best ones I’ve used so far.
I also have these - not brilliant when you need to magnify something at arms length is the only problem I find with them.
I bought these just last week. Only had a play not used in anger.
I found that the +1.8 lens & +2.5 lens seem to give a reasonable working range (not too close so your nose is on the item, which with the +3.5 it is).
Comfy & a headband (good if you wear specs), plus you can tilt back the visor to see normally without taking it off, or rotate the lens out of sight line (so normal vision but still use the light).
If you need a closer look with more magnification, I found it easier to then use a 2nd lens in the hand over the piece.... though you can mount 2 lenses at once to increase magnification - I found that to be OTT & not very usable.
Light is OK, enough light but not overly bright (which can be as bad as not enough light).

A Loupe doesn't leave both your hands free to work though.Can't beat using an old fashioned Loupe

Found them ideal for seeing little screws when repairing my daughters ipone.
Only 4 actual lenses in mine (I think x1.0, x1.8, x2.5, x3.5)... but yes you can use 2 mounted to increase magnification (not sure how useful that is in reality, as the focal length gets very short at that magnification, so you're peering owlishly from very close-up).
I think I'll use a lower magnification for a better position, then use another lens as I said (in-hand) if a "better look" is needed.
I'd only use 2 lenses at high magnification on the visor as a last resort.
It's nice to have the options though.

I wear one pair for looking at things at ~monitor distance away, and a stronger pair for welding distance.
When I need to I drop the other pair down[the pair that live on the top of my head] and use both pairs.
I have played with lockwiring a pair of glasses to another pair, so I have a few inches between them, it
works, but it's very easy to get them wrong and loose focus-and depth of focus gets small.
I have a pair of those glasses, pictured above, in my ebay basket, are none of those things any good?

I just went out and videoed a few of the cars. I got the first one, then put the lens cap on and filmed the inside of the lens
cap! I can't see the little screen on the camera in sunlight.

I used a magnifier to remove some tiny screws out of the back of a watch to change the battery, worked great until I tried to put the screws back in, found out I no longer have the manual dexterity I used to have 
had to take it to a watch place to get them fitted.

you get what you pay for. rolls royce of lenzes youi camt expect crap for 20 quid to be half as goodI use these 3.5 bifocal style safefy glasses if doing something that takes any length of time, means you can just look away to take away the strain....when the full lens is magnified it's too much

Right there B S I've had the Donegan Optivisor for years with the no 4 lens & also the clip on optiloupe for really close work, & wouldn't be without it ,yes they're not cheap but they are excellent with no distortion like the cheapo's & lets face it once you've bought them they don't wear out plus you can buy additional stronger lenses if you need them.there pucca specially the glass ones
