After an experience with bank fraud this year on a HACKED brand new Samsung phone

We have always used android devices so we know all the tweaks and how to mess with them, if you ask around i bet someone will give you a smart phone as the dont seem to hold money after a years or two, i just fixed a Samsung M30 basic smart phone but big battery and it was going to be chucked away as it would not charge it took about 10 minutes to fix as it was just a dmaged USB charge port which cost £3 delivered.

The other thing to remember is what are the kids/mates/friends using, they can either help or be a hindrance !

I needed a phone, I remembered that my daughter had bought a new one and dumped her old one with broken screen in a basket that holds many things near my chair.
I took it to a repair shop, they said no problem, £75 and you get a free screen protector.
Took it back and looked up youtube and found a vid about changing the screen, bought a new screen for around £40 off eBay and did the repair myself.
Gave my daughter £30 for the phone, unhappy she said 'do you know how much them things cost'? I replied that we have to take the cost of repair into consideration.
It's an apple iphone x, I'm very happy with it apart from that iphones appear to need charged up a lot.

Check the battery health percentage, if it’s in the low 80s or less (which is quite likely) then the battery life will be very poor. I took my XS into the Apple shop and had a new one installed as it wasn’t much more expensive than an independent. I think mine was down to 78% capacity.

I had a brand new Android HTC phone in 2011, since then I’ve owned nothing but iPhones and I’ve never bought one new or had one on a contract. I’ve always bought them used and every one has worked faultlessly.

... daughter wanted me on Apple though, so she could track my whereabouts, and me hers.

Google has a "locate device" function which will put the target device on a map.

But, I have been told that if you can get an Apple battery, that it will be inferior quality to the originals that they install in their phones.
Its not an Apple battery that I fitted but seems to be adequate apart from needing charged up daily.

I believe you aren’t able to buy a genuine Apple battery from
anyone other than Apple, no matter what the seller says. I’ve fitted a couple of non-genuine ones and they’ve been fine.
