Small Mig welder 110v?

Anyone recommend one a decent small mig, capable of being used on site? Lincoln/Murex/Lorch/etc???
Can't get anywhere near it with a swfu, needs to be small, portable, and capable of resisting handling by rough arses
110v would be preferable.

I think you can safely say Lorch welders will survive rough handling after seeing Matt1978's demo's at the forum meet!

The kemppi miniarc's are pretty good, I don't own one, but borrow one occasionally for site work, my only criticism would be having to buy kemppi torch spares, but they are a good machine.

Kemppi tend to be suggested whenever small MIGs are mentioned. They do some little ones but I don't know how well they drop. Dock the cost from wages and they'll not be dropped.

I just bought 15m of shelving Pig issue seems sorted for the moment and I've got a new barn to put all my rubbish in. I've gone from depressed to happy(ish).

Yep the little kemppis are good mine survives both me and the inside of the truck so must be fairly robust, bit sensitive to Genny's is the only grumble, drop the arc at the slightest volt drop, part from that goos tools..

Yup, the kemppi, not sure if its available in 110v, i doubt it.

Only problem weve had is the gas hose, placcy pipe splits where it comes out of the machine. Easily fized though. And be carefull not to bend the torch at the machine sharply.
Spares, the shrouds i think are kemppi specific, but the tips we use are m6, by parweld. same as bizel ones i think.

Hmm, we have 2 Kemppi minarcs - stick/tig jobs - 110v. Nice machines, everyone seems to get on with them.

Looks like Kemppi might be the way forward for the mig as well. What size is that roll of wire? Ta fellas.

Great machines if you can get away with using 240v.
They will also run off a fair length of extension lead.

Here's mine this morning and the dodgy electrics it was running off.

You do need to watch the width of the 5 kg reels tho ,
Most are fine but some are too wide to fit properly you cant get the retainer on and the hinged door wont shut !
Ill have a measure up later , You dont want to be buying 10 reels the wrong size
Although i have used up a full reel with the welder on iits side with the door open
just checked 60mm is about the max reel width you can get away with ..

Like you say one that replaces the plug....an adapter type one is too easy to forget to use.

or it keeps tripping you get fed up of resetting and you unplug it when there is an earth fault! all my extension leads have them on
