Rubber seal help

Hi folks,

Need 2 0f these for my newly acquired oxy fuel hose reel for the rotating spindles. I'm guessing they're just rubber as viton doesn't work with acetone so wouldn't be used in acetylene equipment.

Best I can measure they're nearly 23mm OD at the largest and 12mm ID at the smallest. Tapered side I side and out, 5mm thick and look very much like a symmetrical u shape hydraulic seal but I can't find any that fit.

The brass stub that goes inside is 12.7mm and the bore they go into is 22.0mm and the u shape fits towards the tapered bottom of the bore.

Any help much appreciated.

Could be they are also set-up for "alternate Gasses" ....mostly that means propane.
As well as acetylene.

So the rubber would need to be oil/gas resistant or similar.

Much like the hoses are normally "R" rated, and for propane need to be "T" rated.

Not sure. I'd guess if it's suitable for hot oil it should be suitable for other hydrocarbons like propane. Not under huge pressure, maybe 45psi?

I would not 2nd guess it.
And Oxygen is nothing to get the details wrong on either.

It does, and I've had great difficulty getting those in weird sizes.
Good luck! I would be contacting the manufacturer of the reel.

Have done. Too old so no parts support.

Quite possibly, though the od doesn't seem to line up with anything. And the thickness is bang on 5mm.

Also found this swivel kit. Have messaged them to see what the seal is.
