How hard would it be to IVA an electric enduro bike?
Mrs79 follows a bloke on instagram called Lyndon Poskett and he’s done the Dakar on one.
Gonna "Google this Mr Lyndon Poskett"

Limiting the power to 250w is crazy. Limiting the speed makes sense. A heavy bloke up a steep hill will need a lot more than 250w!
The old C50/70/90 were brilliantly practical, stable & economical machines with solid, simple engineering & basically bulletproof.I did this maths 6yrs ago - six years later - nothing viable has come onto the market place to replace a/my Honda C90? (AFS 110 108cc Honda C90)
Simple question?
(no bullying please)

I'll admit, it's not something I've really thought about before, but I'm surprised that there's not more options for road legal e-bikes/mopeds.I did this maths 6yrs ago - six years later - nothing viable has come onto the market place to replace a/my Honda C90? (AFS 110 108cc Honda C90)

Honestly - you'd be surprised just what 250w can give you.250w for my 100kg full sized fat mechanic frame is nothing mate!
The old C50/70/90 were brilliantly practical, stable & economical machines with solid, simple engineering & basically bulletproof.
Unchanged today they they'd make a superb buy and transport solution. Cheap on resources, cheap to run, durable - brilliant things.
If your 110cc more modern variant is half as good, then that'll still make it about 50x better than so many alternatives.
In terms of bang-for-buck & frugality - it's a tough act to beat.
The only thing they don't have, is any cool cachet for those who value image over, well - value & practicality.
Poskett if I recall is a cheerful UK-based antipodean nutter whose done the Dakar as a privateer several times.Gonna "Google this Mr Lyndon Poskett"![]()
You're way behind the curve on that one, same with the scooters.... Once the scrotes start using them for crime and hooning about that’ll be it.
Bring it on!It’s probably semantics in the definition that makes them not a moped but I can see some sort of tax, insurance and licensing coming in after a few fatals
There's a newer "smart" (yuk) Bosch e-bike motor than mine, but mine is the Bosch Performance Line CX4 motor (85nm). 625wH battery. The current Bosch e-bike motor puts out 85Nm at stall.
What do you mean " START" ? They have been at it ever since the E's were available . Another 2 more killed this weekend .That needs applying to bicycles if I’m honest.
However that’s a different thread probably.
E-bikes will be registered before long I have no doubt. Once the scrotes start using them for crime and hooning about that’ll be it.
That guy is a legend !!How hard would it be to IVA an electric enduro bike?

AND," you meet the nicest people on a Honda . " ask Twiggy. The old C50/70/90 were brilliantly practical, stable & economical machines with solid, simple engineering & basically bulletproof.

When you see the numbers of scrotes zipping about on real probably stolen motorcycles, I can assure you it would only be honest folk whod license their e bikeBring it on!
Let's have some kind of license, insurance requirements for these vehicles and cyclists.
I have an E scooter for jumping from van to site in London if I can't get parked close enough.
Yes it's illegal but I do stop at red lights and generally don't ride like a retard looking for somewhere to die.
Half the bikes flying around jumping red lights doing well over 15.5mph and have no way to identify them when they cause an accident!
I'm absolutely amazed that our money grabbing government haven't already got into this in a big way.
