Simple how?

It’s a lorry body not a container. They are different in structure and how they will behave when they are lifted.

Oh, and he doesn’t have a container handling system in his garden I doubt. Otherwise he wouldn’t be rounding up mates to help lift it off.

the back of the wagon is going to be the same wood beams and jacks to lower the frame and bed to the ground

the same method can be used with portable cabins and also container frames

whist the container frame is stronger it will also stand the wind alot better

the wagon internals are stll wanting to be framed but fastening to the outside is going to be fun there not designed for the extra framing as they do expand and contract rather well

a container is built on c channels the same as a factory that uses c channels and z purlins and even dormers can use the same tech

hes wanting something large to store within

hes worried about the wind so will have to build a structure within to strengthen the bodywork

tech has change enough to use alternatives as shown between a container using c channel to factories right down to a dormer build using c channel and z purlins

hes struggerling to buy the size he wants so only showing theres other options out there

to be honest he could just build a concrete base and fit steel girders in and fit z purlins its just as good for storage its all down to the user and what they can legally use

If you read the post then I suspect he's worried about the wind on the drive with an empty lorry body on a trailer rather than once it's in place. I suspect his easiest route would involve the Severn Bridge which can be damn unpleasant when the wind is up.

If he’s lucky he will be able to get alongside a truck in lane 2. Done that across there on the bike!

Could be worth an enquiry to a hiab lorry company but as long as he’s all balanced and towing it with something sensible he’ll be fine.

There's not much in the way of support up to the roof so maybe hole drilling is the way to go

Is this from TruckBizz? There will be two channels fixed to the underside of the floors crossmembers that run the entire length of the body, as this is a foot either end longer than the trailer you will be able to strap over the top of these channels each end and firmly attach to the trailer, that wont be going anywhere. rest of the straps only need to be there for show.

A few years ago we had to use the Severn bridge in a relatively small Luton van. It was windy and one of the rear wheels lifted, causing the engine to race. That was scary enough !

As it is going to overhang the trailer will marker lights and those triangle markers be needed ?

@OJCar it will indeed, its a 2 man/2 vehicle team to shift it, my wingman is bringing the big mirrors, marker boards etc

Quick update, road trip today to view the body, deposit paid, just need to sort out collection

Just for giggles, I've asked for a quote on Shiply, you never know!

I made this for a customer so he could do a lift last week. 6t caravan.
