For my best friend, that time came at around 40.
Although it started with a narrow gauge diesel loco, they are now up to 2 diesel locos and 2 steam locos.
And some carriages.

This is the sort of "thinking outside the box" ideas that this forum is so good for.
How can I justify a steam engine? I know I'll use it to clean my computer. (Obvious really when you think about it)

I've had one on my shelf for about 10-15 years now but definitely did not pay anything like that for it.

For me it was last week. I borrowed a steam cleaner and tried cleaning the grout in the kitchen floor, total waste of time

Gave the cleaner back and gone back to work
