Yes, it's a hard as nails floor finish used in domestic or light commercial use. They do one called Traffic that is harder still and used for sealing wooden floors in shops etc. I used it to seal the oak floors in the house as my mate used to be a sales rep

It's only taken me 4 months to finish it. Made from offcuts. The mounting plate's warped and it's far from perfect but it beats using a hand ratchet hoist to drag stuff onto the trailer.




Wiring yet to be completed. Maybe in another 4 months.

Bona Traffic and Bona Traffic HD are excellent for wood floors, and I just got through applying several coats of Bona Traffic HD to the cork flooring that I installed in my upstairs bathroom project.

So far, so good. It was easy to apply, although I would have liked it to be slower setting/drying. I had to work fast to maintain a wet edge because the room has several odd-shaped areas and obstacles to deal with, so it took longer to apply because I couldn't use the wide applicator in many places. It enhances the appearance of the cork and has a nice soft sheen (I chose the "Commercial Satin" sheen sold here). I'm hoping it will hold up well. I'll post a few photos after I get the baseboard moulding installed and clean up the area.

I often go through phases of not starting at all! Next phase according to my Mrs is to pay a decorator!

I use the Traffic for floors and it's great stuff.
Water based and two pack and so easy to apply.

I agree, nothing good has ever come of a rush job. 4 months seems to be a good timeframe for winch mounts.

It looks decent in daylight, i need to order some more bits like battery terminals and sort that wire for the control box.




The mount for the spare was moved over. Just a matter of drilling 3 holes, realising you've drilled one in the wrong place, then drilling a 4th and bolting it on.

Those PermaPlugs are really good. Tough as anything.

Shame you're not in the Midlands or I could recommend a really good one we've just used.

My problem is my fathers family were painting contractors, and my father worked for them after leaving the sea, but before buying. TV business, so I was taught how to do it properly and what good should look like. None of the three Ive used recently came anywhere near.

There in lies the problem , when you have worked with lots of other trades over years you get to know what's good and what's s***e .
I think there has been a steady decline in the standard of workman ship for many years now , on many occasions now been in and on other jobs and thought WOH ! hope you didn't pay them for that , but I think a lot of customers wouldn't know a bad job if it bit them on the a**e ! . No shame and in and out for minimum effort and maximum money seems the game these days and long gone is the attitude if I wouldn't ware it in my house why would leave it in some one else's .

A vast amount of my depression towards work comes from poor standards. I feel completely helpless knowing I cant find people good enough to give work to. Which also limit's business growing potential.

Been using their plugs for a good while now, & they've held up well. First time using one of their sockets though. I hope that's as sturdy.

The problem is that most workmen actually believe their workmanship is good, & most people are generally happy with it too.

It's only those of us with a discerning eye, who strive for perfection, who see differently.

I've noted it no end of times over the years, & it still eludes me how most can be happy with that level of "quality", but they are.

i don't know, there is no brand or number on. Bougth it secondhand, long ago, this is the first time I used it. Finished job today worked quite well, proper fit and decent enough finish.
