Cheap digital microscope app issues

Wasn't sure if this should go in tools, or in the general section.
Does anyone have a cheap digital microscope? I play to use it for inspection, it can't get it to work.
It needs an app, dlscope.
The qr code with it doesn't work. The written link doesn't work. I found the app, and downloaded it, but it works over WiFi apparantly and my phone doesn't find it.

At a bit if a loss.
Can't go to the supplier as it was a present, and it's just a cheap thing from eBay anyway.

I've had an endoscope and camera connected to my Android phone with Wifi - needed to press a button on the camera/scope to enable/transmit? the wifi, bit like pairing a bluetooth device, then it just works after it's connected for the first time as long as you have that wifi network selected/app open

The app says to turn the camera on and then select it in WiFi settings.
Bit, camera doesn't have an on button, seems to turn on as soon as it's plugged in. And nothing is showing up in my WiFi.

what make is it? link to the manual?

maybe a capacitive/touch type button that's not obvious...maybe wrong manual and it's usb only?...

Seen someone on YouTube using camerafi2 with the same microscope but mine doesn't work.
Manual is a strong term, it's a bit of paper with a qr code and telling you how to plug the cable in.
The neither qr code and the written link work it it says what the app is so I found it and downloaded it.

I think it just doesn't work.

Ihave one that looks similar... i use vlc player on a laptop and open the video capture device option

it does look like it needs a wired connection (usb)
from the description on eBay it works with Andriod phone, PC or Mac, do you have an iPhone maybe?

going with this ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vaultmicro.camerafi2&hl=en&gl=US&pli=1 ) CameraFi2 is for using a phones inbuilt camera or USB camera, not Wifi...

if you have an Android phone you might need to give it permission to access camera/photos etc (scroll down to the bottom of any notifications)...if you have an iPhone I don't THINK it'll work...going by the app description/eBay listing etc..

I have android.
I've done everything it's asking, it's just not doing the whole Wi-Fi thing.

Mine looks very similar, doesn't claim to have wifi though. It works with mScopes off the play store on a google pixel 3a and is recognised as a generic webcam on PC with both windows and linux, no specific drivers needed.

Which stylus?

I've a cheap jobby (£400) but mostly fire the record player up after a few bowls of electric soup so taking care of my records is not a huge priority.
Still have a fair few records and do play the when I'm in the mood but not worth spending any more considering the risks and the fact that I'm half deaf.

£400 gets you into the realm of good things.
After that, it's smaller improvements and more about matching the arm and if it's sound suits your taste.

I have a decca london gold, but it's one that was modified by the garrott brothers many years ago. I guess it's a little bit above the decca london super gold which I think isn't being made right now bit last time I checked was around the £1500 mark. Had a rega apheta before that, that was a wonderful cart! Till my girlfriend snapped the cantilever
Still, had used most of its life up and insurance paid out £1250, so can't complain.
