Electrical terminal crimp questions?

Right so I have some Anderson connector terminals to crimp dose anyone know if either of these two sets of crumpets will cover it or am I looking at buying another pair?

Never bothered with anything other than coloured insulated ones before, cable end Ferrells and cable lugs. Would it be possible to get an extra set of jaws for the Kennedy ones instead of buying a whole other tool.

On another note dose any one know will my Kennedy crimper set cover Deutsch connectors and super seal connectors?

As above. Nearly always use the size below stated for some reason. Also crimp once and turn one flat and crimp again to get rid of the burr it throws il sometimes, I crimp twice along each terminal too just to make sure.

Thanks thought it be like, usually go a size smaller and twice, do it to cable lugs.

35mm2 and SB175 Anderson connectors.

The crimps supplied with these Anderson couplings are big, you will have to double over 35mm2 cable to fill the crimp prior to munching it up.

If they are only a little larger I have used the old jointer's trick of wrapping a strand of cable round the conductor to be crimped.
If you can gauge how much bigger it needs to be it can get you out of the Brown sticky stuff on a break down with the wrong size crimps!

Yellow ones at a minimum. The Kennedy ones are OK for small terminals, but are not up to 35m2 terminals.

A lot will depend on the rating of the Anderson connectors, they come in various sizes.

The big top set will do them fine. As Dan said, you'll likely use the next size down set of jaws. I have a matching set and they work fine, only cheap ones but they've been great for making battery cables and welding leads.

I don't think your second set will do SuperSeal or similar automotive crimps. I use a set like these for SuperSeal:

You do have to do the crimp in two parts (the main crimp and the seal crimp) but they work well. I think Deutsch are supposed to use a 4- or 6-jaws barrel crimper, never done them myself though.

Was just about to say this, most places supply them with contacts to suit 50mm cable.
The #2 ones crimp up perfectly onto 35mm cable with the tool set to 35mm.

Or find some brass/copper tube the right size to make your own bushings and crimp them up with it set on 50mm
