Anyone willing to bend a piece of 8mm stainless bar for me?

The handle on my frying pan is chromed steel and has rusted. I'd like one made from stainless, 304 maybe, that will survive a domestic kitchen. I can post the original as a template. I'd do it myself if I had the materials, tooling and skills.

Anyone up for it? ££££ await you.

i have this and it wouldnt take me long to bend it up but i dont have the material

12mm Round Bar Bending Jig

Whats the best bending jig to make to bend 12mm round bar. I need to get 15x 135 degree bends roughly the same. I've used various little contraptions over the years from Pipe Flanges with bolts, to little jigs like this that ive quickly knocked up for one off jobs but none are ever perfect.

but 304 will still rust 316 is the one that can take more washing and salt

I've 6 or 8 mm 316 but I'm not close to you.

In order:

None of my stainless saucepans magnetic but about the utensils are. Granted 316 would be better but it's a marginal benefit for something that won't see much salt nor immersion in water.

It won't bring it back to new but wet a bit of tin foil and rub it on the chrome work

Grind the crome off and season it with oil like the pan. Or high temp paint it.

Cast iron pans get thrown away all the time by lazy people who don't want to clean and season them , I found an entire set in someone's front garden once, council rubbish tips are full of them, all you need to do is burn any grease off, wire wheel and season them and you have indestructible pans that last forever. Same goes for stainless where the non stick has worn out, wood stripping disk in a grinder and polish it back to bare metal.

I only have 4mm bar here so ill ave to buy some or you can and ave it sent to me. have to see what cost is, i dont want paying for doing it though, just materials and post.

edit to say i dont need the handle as a template, can do it from a few specs sent, as in width of prongs unless you want an exact copy.

Too fussy by half (and likely a lot more). Since when was iron lll oxide poisonous? Cleaned and oiled, ready for cooking on, will see it perfectly useable - it will be pretty well disinfected of anything when heated, as well.

I agree. This is why so many people are ill, they don't eat enough dirt !

Make me laugh all the TV adverts for 99.9% germkiller surface cleaner. SWMBO would use this pan after a scrub with a Brillo pad, some will be appalled, but no one has ever been stretchered out of here with food poisoning.
