That does explain a lot.Welcome in Italy !
That does explain a lot.Welcome in Italy !
A similar story to the IOM TT, idiots taking things too far, no consideration, no ability it all ends in carnage and gradually the public use of the course is becoming more and more restricted. They've had quite a bit of bother there with people using off road and trials bikes on the local tracks during the TT period too.The local Dirt Bike Club where I Mtb mostly, are a good bunch. They opened up a lot of the trails decades hence - many of which are still in use.
Their members only ride the motorised permitted access trails, and if they organise an event its all done correctly.
Their permissions and other Forest users tolerance though, is being ruined by the usual rogue band who turn up in a group and tear up the footpaths, mtb trails and anywhere/everywhere.
I used to really enjoy a bit of trail off-roading but when I used to ride hardly anyone but us & Forestry workers ever entered the forests & no-one even noticed (& if they did, they didn't care).
Now, it couldn't be more different - and as usual - it's the loose cannon / up yours brain-deads who ruin it for everyone.
The last lot of numpty's who rutted and wrecked the mtb trails happily stuck youtube videos up of their antics.
Given how the places people can enjoy a dirtbike in the UK seem to be diminishing rapidly (& why) - I'm happy to stick to maintain biking.
Yup. I've always said that if you ever meet someone whose attitude includes the saying "I'll do it if I want, there's no law against it" - then you've just met exactly the sort of nugget who ensures that a law will be implemented because of selfish, entitled eejits abusing "rights" until they get removed for all..

Sadly I think it's a symptom of the wider selfish attitude problem in society, which (IMNSHO) stems in part from everyone being told that this, that, or the other is their "right".![]()
You can't educate thick, and apparently it's illegal to cull them.It boils my **** etc, but as there's nothing I can do about these m0r0ns, I try not to dwell on it as a rule.
Unfortunately an inevitable result of the dumbing down of society in general .I thank my lucky stars I was around before it all started to go downhill .The local Dirt Bike Club where I Mtb mostly, are a good bunch. They opened up a lot of the trails decades hence - many of which are still in use.

There HAS to be a way. I did hope at one time they would be self leveling but they seem to be able to breed faster than self eliminate. You can't educate thick, and apparently it's illegal to cull them.![]()
Did you manage to beat Bud or Steve? I was hoping to do a rebuild of one of those with my Grandson a month or two ago but the assurances by the vendor turned out slightly optimistic to say the least. Still looking for a project though.I was into enduro desert racing during my twenties until I reached the old age of thirty two, when I realized it was time to quit; that was in 1986. I've still enjoyed trail and street riding ever since. Photo of me back in the day, on my XR200R.

All we can do is hope for some sort of natural disaster. Doesn't have to be anything too dramatic, just something to shut down the internet, mobile towers and close take-aways for a couple of months should do it. They'll turn on one another out of frustration, top themselves without attention/affirmation and any that are left will starve. There HAS to be a way. I feel like I’ve seen that pic on another forum but I can’t think where. Not had a chequered past with land rovers have you?I was into enduro desert racing during my twenties until I reached the old age of thirty two, when I realized it was time to quit; that was in 1986. "Civilisation is two meals & 24-hours away from anarchy" (or something very similar), yes?All we can do is hope for some sort of natural disaster. Modified an xl185 with Seeley crank and piston , IT 175 tank , smaller carb, altered head angle , footrest repositioned rearwards for use in Sammy Millar Trail bike championship in 90's. Having fun at a Silverstone Honda dealer demo day .I was into enduro desert racing during my twenties until I reached the old age of thirty two, when I realized it was time to quit; that was in 1986. As in a slightly deranged dictator knocking out a few satellites just to prove a point. All we can do is hope for some sort of natural disaster. Or a big solar flare, or 'renewables' not meeting demand, very hot summer, very cold winter, pretty much anything outside of the expected comfort zone would do it.As in a slightly deranged dictator knocking out a few satellites just to prove a point.

Sadly, its one of the few photos I still have after my divorce many years ago. Only thing I've had to do with land rovers was have a ride in one, once.I feel like I’ve seen that pic on another forum but I can’t think where. Not had a chequered past with land rovers have you?
Probably best kept that way…Landrovers not divorceSadly, its one of the few photos I still have after my divorce many years ago. Only thing I've had to do with land rovers was have a ride in one, once.
