the firefox crash was caused by youtube of all places and an enforcement of clearing your cookie cache by youtube when you entered the youtube page
whilst the page slowed down and failed to load correctly.
this weekend ive spent a day digging around my system to get my favourate bookmarks back.
ive had firefox for years and yes ive suffered crashes and lost my favorate bookmarks before now, its why i back favourate bookmarks up from time to time
over the years ive learnt to have 2 search engines installed and ive finally added a third install of an online search engine ( firefox and opera others are usable )
you can use opera to save your bookmarks from a crashed search engine the same as you can with firefox, as you have to import them into your search engine
