musta bought the krap ones thenMaybe really expensive ones are better, but my experience with them is they're absolutely crap, cordless is far better and you don't have to listen to a compressor running.
snap ,,, die grinders are air hungry ,,, mighty tools and with decent burrs in them very very handy ,,, but it takes a big compressor , I was running dynabrade and snap on at the weekend and the compressor was hardly off from its run cycle. Ive never tried a battery die grinder and my 240v ones bulky in comparison . And if theres underseal you will need a small wire brush and a good supply of both brake cleaner and patience ,,,Drills are for drilling. You want a die grinder. They are designed to take sideways loads and run a damn site faster.
Electric or battery is my go to, but for air any of the ‘names’ will do what you want.
CP, desoutter, IR
Oil it before use
Edit. Probably not on your compressor though![]()
these are the nuts for that https://www.cactusindustrial.com/mbx/And if theres underseal you will need a small wire brush and a good supply of both brake cleaner and patience ,,,
must look into one of those ,,, it looks the biz ,,, and the wurth guy calls in ,,, try their injectorex as a penetrating / release spray ,,, mighty good stuffthese are the nuts for that https://www.cactusindustrial.com/mbx/
Wurth do one.
There are air and long neck / awkward access ones available
From personal experience yes they are.must look into one of those ,,, it looks the biz ,,,
I find powdered abrasive, accelerated to high velocity pneumatically works best.....Well, over many years, I've worked with the angle grinder and electric drills. Then I bought a needle scaler (not used that much so far). All of these will do certain jobs, but around the suspension, access usually becomes an issue and I wondered whether a straight air-drill might be worth adding to the collection.
yep, I have a blasting cabinet, but I've never tried taking the gun under the car. Perhaps I should consider buying a pot?I find powdered abrasive, accelerated to high velocity pneumatically works best.....
Yes, I was being polite wrt Erie Fred's suggestion ( I find powdered abrasive, accelerated to high velocity pneumatically works best.....) , but won't actually be trying it out!unless you can get the car a fair way up it would be no joke getting underneath to do it and make tons of messan airfed helmet would be the order of the day and there verry restrictive
Aw come on man....You just need a pit...Yes, I was being polite wrt Erie Fred's suggestion ( I find powdered abrasive, accelerated to high velocity pneumatically works best.....) , but won't actually be trying it out!
I had an air drill. Used a LOT of air. Very noisy drill + noisy compressor + freezing cold drill. Not fun.Maybe really expensive ones are better, but my experience with them is they're absolutely crap, cordless is far better and you don't have to listen to a compressor running.
