Good clout with a lump hammer will fix that.
tryed that or near as ive taken it fully apart its so twisted a inch out of square supprising the dawers even moved (they are not that free but movedId put a brace or two across the front to keep the width and clamp it diagonally. Add a little more pressure over a few days. Take it just past where it wants to finish and leave it a week. Unclamp and cross fingers.
was playing be for going to work this morning could not sleep and got up at 4am or near there and had a look at it in the end ive taken it apart but im not sure its worth fixing as one side is bowed as can be seen from picsDo you leave your watch on that bent out twisted corner![]()
You could try wetting the concave side and leaving outside with the sun on the convexity to warp back to shape. Might take some time.
how im i going to do thatsteam
I've seen them make a makeshift "oven" out of plywood and seal it with gaffa tape. Plug a wall paper stripped into it,tryed that with a door years ago that was bent did not do a thing

It will likely be too dry to steam it straight, if so any bend will be temporary, been there myself. If it can be knocked apart easy enough then planing the edges square and the panels flat would be a more permenant repair. Paul Sellers on youtube is worth a watch if you need to learn anything like this.
What will hold it in shape when you have trued it up? There doesn't appear to be anything holding the front square.
The board cuts don't look to be quarter cut so even if you do straighten initially steaming it they will still bow. You could flatten the panels (plane or sand) which have bowed then remake the joints to bring it square as above.
You could alter it, stainless steel box section frame, existing wood panels inlaid, existing runners screwed on etc
i removed the top then tryed putting a clamp across the diaginal to try to pull it to shape but it would not move much atall and no where near where it was needed so ive split the joints in most parts and seeing if i can put it back stright possably with the side still with the bow as the drawers run on runners the bow should not make that much differanceIn the photos, I think it is upside down. Could you install two diagonal turnbuckles and cables to keep the base square? They would be about 5mm below the T-square you show.
I think if it does not already have one, it would need a permanent strut across the front to stop it collapsing. Subtle use of angle brackets when you affix the top would keep it square at the top but still allow it to move.
Done nicely, your modifications would not be seen.
no it was that way before taking apart the photos as you see it is the way it was all id done was remove the drawers from the runners and tiped it upside down to see how twisted or out of shape it was the drawers where quite hard to remove and required quite a pull to open them so i dont think it had been using the drawers for a while id guessIt was likely much more square before some parts were removed? I expect it could be much improved, if it needed it before being partially disassembled.
not at my house kids are gone so cant be bothered and ive had a few when the kids are around a burning bin was used now and again most times just for funBonfire![]()
