Now I can use the graver

I have been busy making a mounting so I can use the graver on my Myford, still got a couple of handles to make and do something about the horrible screw but I needed to be able to mount the tool rest to be able to make the handles but nearly there now , I will make the handles tomorrow using the graver, I know there’s a device to be able to make handles but I haven’t got one and anyway I enjoy using the graver.

Its a rest, like on a wood lathe, for using hand held cutters, metal ones.

I saw Clickspring using one on YT. Something I'd never though of, but I did get a small rest and cast iron bracket with my recent steam engine wheel purchase which I was wondering what's it for.

When I bought the South Bend there were also two woodlathe type toolrests in all the accessories that came with it.
I wondered about that because I couldn't find any wood shavings in the muck and grime.
So those can be used on a metal lathe for graving? Good to know.
