Sounds ok then, we’ve had a baxi for 6 years but I seem to recall Worcester recommended a max rise of 1 bar when hot. The boiler we have now has a bigger expansion vessel so has more scope to absorb any pressure increase I guess. If it’s going above the safety relief pressure and venting out then you should look a bit deeper but sounds like yours is probably ok, worth a read of manual to see what it says thoughNot sure I’m getting this fully, some systems the pressure will increase when hot and it’s normal, others stay static? The manual says design pressure should be up to 1.5 bar and pressure at max operating temp should be up to 2.6, so this type of boiler the increase is normal?
I set it cold and then ran it and it reached 2.1bar and stayed put for 30 mins.
who was the idiot electrician or plumber bonding all the pipes together with 4.0mm earth wiretotally un necessary. the manifold above bonds all the pipes

Whilst a drain tap would be easier, could you not disconnect the boiler fill loop, boiler side and open the tap??one other thing if you have used that prv valve to drain water expect it needing a replacement
its what i hate about lazy plumbers who wont fit a drain taps on the system
there a swine for failing at best of time to use them to drain the system is a big no no

Just because I’m curious and clueless, what did they do wrong? And they haven't managed to do it properly either.
Pointless and poorly done.
I suppose you could, but you’d have to get spanners out and that might be beyond the average homeowner?Whilst a drain tap would be easier, could you not disconnect the boiler fill loop, boiler side and open the tap??
That’s what I fitted to mine after the pain of draining it the first time.fill loop has one way flow thats why they have arrows on them
its far easier to just to fit a drain tap or as i call it a fast drain tap compared to the rubbish drain off valve type
just remember if it takes hours to drain and fill a system then your paying more if the plumber used a drain tap he can drain the system in a short time do whats needed and refil the system in less hrs
mostly fitted on rads from downflowing pipes

id rather use a proper stop tap tee'ed off from the main pipe but allows for faster drain off of the central heating system compared to the one above
