I've bought/sold a couple of vehicles that way. Instant transfer. The guy who bought my Zephyr 1100 said 'it can take up to 8 hours to arrive' so I thought 'well, you're going to be waiting 8 hours before you take the bike matey'Izettle sum up etc are all easyways of getting paid by others, similar to square, but they are really aimed at the small trader rather than someone selling off treasures.
If your face to face BACS is the way. Ibought a trailer the other day. £1900 quid, arrived looked, deal agreed, money transfered, trailer loaded and off home, easier than counting out cash!
The money arrived in 8 seconds....
When I sold the hot rod the guy wired me £10 just to make sure we both had everything squared away, then an hour later he sent me the remaining £6k. It never arrived. Hours later and we're both checking accounts, email, looking for something, but nada. I had the car still, he was sweating buckets 200 miles away.
A minutes past midnight and I get a notification on my phone, money has arrived. The guy found some small print with his bank saying if money is sent after 7pm it won't arrived until the next working day. Phew.....
