not nice at all 
but you have to be real carefull with anything thats poisonous where animals are my dog ate 2 rat bait blocks that were hidden behind some pots 
only noticed because there was someting blue round his mouth and i knew what it was .
took to the vets and they made him puke up and he was ok

I believe that antifreeze has to contain a bittering agent by law, so that this exact thing does not happen. Why cannot that legislation be extended to screenwash?

Oh jeez, that’s terrible, looks like Asda’s customer service team are based in China by the reply you got I don’t see how a store manager is going to help to get your concerns across. I’ve also stored screenwash at ground level and have a dog so I’ll not be doing that any more.

It doesn't mention what the antifreezing element is so can only assume it's ethylene glycol.
The time scale of what took place is too likely to just be a coincidence. The classic systems also.
The day the spill was spotted in the evening he crashed. I thought the spill was a punctured beercan and was not concerned. Next day he seemed much better and took to vets just to be sure. Cleaned up the spill. Checked all the cans and none were leaking? Next day after being out early hours he came back in and crashed again.
The beer spill was back in the porch and no cans were wet. Then I spotted the container which had fallen behind something else. That's the first time I realised what it was! Rushed to vets and the rest is history.

One good thing about warfarin based rat poison is the antidote is Vitamin K. For ethylene glycol is fomolene or something like that and it has it to administered in the first 6-8hrs after that there's no way back.not nice at all

They don't specify what the agent is. Unlikely to be pure alcohol.
Sorry to hear about your loss, but theres a slim chance that theres no warnings on the lable as it isn't actually poisonous and thus doesn't need any? Their extreme version which provides protection down to -22 appears to be labeled appropriately?

@prepman, I don't know about windshield/windscreen wash solutions on your side of the Atlantic, but the last one that I bought here has methanol in it. The label reads as follows:
DANGER (skull & crossbones) POISON
WARNING: Contains methanol.
May be fatal or cause blindness if swallowed.
Vapor harmful.
Cannot be made non-poisonous.

Screen wash used to contain methanol which is extremely toxic, although I think this was banned some while back. Now it's usually a mix of ethanol or iso propyl alcohol.. I have seen some screen wash mixes that contain Bitrex, so perhaps these are the ones to go for. Having said that I remember the dog I had many years ago would eat or drink anything, you always had to keep an eye on her.
