Why are the police selling off all of their BMWs

Well not up to sitting ticking over for hours and then having the tits driven off them

They were having problems with engines seizing in high speed situations or something weren’t they?

They are not up to the abuse they get,long periods ticking over at scenes etc then a high speed run,the oil deteriorates then the crank bearings are going and seizing the cranks.Not up to the job.

They are not "seizing the engines". For some reason best known to the Elfin Safe Tea nannies, the perfectly good engines are being disabled by drilling the block, before they go to auction.

No more BMW police cars

Tragic news story that has resulted in BMW pulling out of the UK police car market. N57 engines could catch fire “under police pursuit driving conditions” (apparently no risk to consumers :dontknow:) with 5-7 engine failures a month! Totally astonishing that this couldn’t have been addressed...
