Engine shaking when starting, after fitting of new clutch & DMFW by garage.

Since collecting my car from garage the engine shakes while turning starter. When the engine starts everything is normal.

Car runs nice and smooth, and gears are perfect. Once it has started there are no issues. What could have happened?

Worth checking to see if they've missed an engine mount bolt.

Certainly I think it is something to do with mounts in some way.

If its safe to drive,go back to the garage that fitted it.

Grab engine and give it a rock, see if there is movement

The guys are ok about it and have asked me to bring it back on Monday to get it up on the ramps.

You know how it is when things go round in the back of your mind. I am curious to know. Got to wait the weekend out.

you could try letting the clutch up, handbrake on, with the bonnet open, does the engine jump up on one side?

dog bone left loose would be an easy one to miss ,,, as said , bonnet open and get someone to watch as you pull away with handbrake on ,, or a good old shake ,,,
if the dmfw wasnt changed it would have been my first thought after engine mounts
