Alun Wyn Jones parked outside our place the other week. Warren Gatland was parked about 5 metres further away. Half the Welsh rugby team were in the village.

That was an epic match! I missed the first 15 minutes as I was splitting logs, and only came in when I wrenched my shoulder. Turned on the radio while making a coffee and thought I'll just watch it while drinking my coffee - the coffee had gone cold by half time, and I'm now a wee bit hoarse. I reckon Scotland were playing for Doddie today...

We went to the pub at 2 in the afternoon and staggered back home at 10. What I fantastic day. Still nursing the hangover.

I thought Ireland were going to throw it away in the 2nd half but made it through to the end. It will be a tougher test next week against France though we have home advantage.

Only three of us with blue shirts on in the local on Saturday, surprising how quickly the lads in white with pretty flowers on their shirts went hone after the game.

I never understood that,

Prime example, me and 1st hubby were at Murryfield for Scotland v England match, way back in the mists of time. Scotland won, and afterwards we ended up in the Balmoral Hotel (as you do), packed with Scots, Irish, Welsh, and a handful of French folk. All the English had gone home, I mean immediately away. All except two English chaps, who had a such lovely time, and enjoyed the hospitality so much, they insisted they were coming back for the next Scotland game, whoever they happened to be playing.

Have fun chaps, stick around, win or lose.

Its odd, I played a lot of cross border rugby. Win or loose the English boys always stayed till we went. Bought us jugs too, they can’t all be sore losers

I was a long time season ticket holder and the true English rugby supporters are honestly one of the best rugby supporters you will meet. The French are also great, good spirited and a little crazy I would say.
