Any experience of the Samsung A53 5G?

I need a new phone. Dont want to spend a fortune. Wouldnt mind a move away from iphones.

EE have a deal on the Samsung A53 with 125GB of data for £27 a month currently. Is anyone using that handset (dont care which network but i am stuck with EE as thats all we get at home) and could give their thoughts on it? I need it for simple apps, email, web and text/whatsapp. Not much else.

Hmm, I replaced my Samsung Galaxy S5 with the older A52S 5G and have been disappointed with it, I assumed that it would be pretty much the same as the S5; not so it has quirks all over the place. To answer a call you press the volume up button!! I needed the flash the other day could I find the setting, had to get my glasses and search for the minute symbol which was not in the menu but on the top of the screen.
Unfortunately I am not the only one 2 friends bought S22FE's (think basic flagship phone) one has sold it on and bought an Iphone instead the other is as disappointed as I am.
I should add that I tend to buy the phone outright when the model is superceeded and there are offers about.

We have 2 a52s 5g, brilliant phone, slightly bigger screen than s series equivalent...only issue is limited cases.... I struggled to find 1 that can be dropped

After several S series Samsungs this is every bit as good, for my needs anyway. Decent battery life.
I'd recommend it.

Brilliant wee phone. Mid range the 2 best phones would be the Samsung a53 and the pixel 6a. Best value for money and cameras very close to the top models.
If your used to iPhone it will probably take a while to get used to android.
I'm used to android and hate anything apple. I also hate how apple tries to tie everything up with them.
All my things are android. Sony tv, Sony PlayStation, android tablets, Samsung phones or other android.

Thanks. Thats good to hear re comparison to the S series.

I am used to Apple and Android. Have a Samsung tablet that I use a lot. Apple battery life is just shocking these days and that's probably my biggest thing really. I'm on the phone all day for work. Then if I am out in the evening i have to lug a charger pack around too currently. The iPhone 7 i am currently on will last 3 hours if used heavily!!

Went from a s6 to a a12 (2020)

Still going strong now and happy enough that if I broke it I would go and buy the newer version now.

I guess thats the other thing I always forget when I look for a new phone. I'm on a 2017, maybe 18 iphone 7. I just want something a little better!
