Replacement speed control trigger

Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can source a replacement variable speed controller, the sort that's found in an electric drill ?

This is for an old Dremel foot controller. Tried capax and no joy, tried eBay, no joy. Tried Dremel, no joy.

It's got mains L+N in, output L+N proportional to switch position.

It might be repairable. Is it possible to open it up without damaging it?

This type of TRIAC-based speed controller uses a rotary pot rather than a sliding trigger, but it would do the job. A crank or rack could be used to adapt it to a foot pedal.

It states variable speed, but it would be best to check that is correct and that it is not just a simple on-off switch.

I got given a Power Devil variable reversible hammer drill that was defunct. I got one of these from Ebay.
You won’t need the reverse bit but it just clips on.
Your one will not be repairable, the track will probably be burnt and won’t operate the triac.
The lock button just pulls of it it’s not needed.
My drill works fine now.

Must be something there that will fit.
