No, the website guy I use has control of that and is being most unhelpful. Siteground host the web which is registered at 123-reg.No experience of using sitegrounds but it looks fairly straightforward - you just need to set up Thunderbird using their guide for IMAP and SMPT.
Where you may run in to issues is if the domain isn't hosted with them and the mx records haven't been set up properly.
So the question is, 1) Do you have access to your sitegrounds hosting control panel? and 2) Do you have control of your domain?
Also depends on the terms of your agreement. Does he own the site, or do you, and he just manages it for you!I pay the "webmaster" and he sorts everything... in theory. Used to be a great guy and I don't know why he's changed. I've been told not to sack the old one until i've got a new one and downloaded as much of the site as possible in advance. Maybe not quite so simple.
