what about infrared/curing lamps? do u think it would work?
I have no idea about lamps. On small stuff people have used hot air guns but that would be a joke on a wheel.

ovens are pretty simple. I got a dedetrich domestic oven from freecycle and the temp control was really wild, so I rewired it[couldn't make sense of the original wiring;-)], added a PID and thermocouple; the temperature hovers around the set point, staying within a few degrees at 180ºC. All I had to do was make a new box and I would have made an oven.
I did use my laptop to run the oven, but then scored a PID for 99p!.
Annoying thing is I chucked an oven, big enough to get a wheel in, away. It was a sterilising oven[all stainless] from the local hospital dump. Someones suggestion on catering equipemnt might be promising, I was wondering about a hot plate, you know the things they wheel around loads of dinners in, you used to see them pretty regularly in the hospital dump.
There are 4 powder coating forums, Powder by the pound, Columbia coatings, eastwood, caswell. I think the first two have sections on oven building.
I could do with coating my landy wheels when i put new tyres on, will I have to make a new oven..........

the oven in link is just an ultraviolet 400w tube to be used with uv activated paint. the powder coating paint is hardened by heat. either gas or electric :

i dont mind paying upto 500 GBP for an oven big enough to cure wheels, cant seem to find anything at that price. Do u have any suggestions as to where i may be ably to find one from at that price? or maybe u know someone that can make an oven?
