I have a video somewhere, the John Britten story. He was an amazing engineer, home built a bike that basically walked all over the big manufacturers in racing for a while. It had some reliability problems, but I think that was off the shelf components failing. And the carbon fibre blade type front forks snapped off on a test ride one time.....

The Britten book is a great read - puts a slightly different perspective on him but still a legend.
Presume the link is the architectural work he did in cathedral quarter - from memory much of it was damaged in the terrible earthquakes a few years back ?
