if you are near dundee next year your welcome for a look at my projects , im just a stones throw awayI am organising a trip round most of Scotland next year visiting old friends, former Uni Classmates and old workmates, the bike has been selected with that in mind. Much as my old Beemer could do it, I will be happier on a modernish machine that has a little more overtaking and braking capability.
Though my health is now pretty good, I still have no real feeling in my feet and limited mobility/strength in my right shoulder, so the trip will be a challenge. I am thinking of making it a sponsored trip once I get the route planned with moneys going to MacMillan Cancer Support, who have been a fantastic support for me.
The old bikes will still get their local use.
ps did you see a tuned matchy g80cs winning the classic race beat all the bikes including vincent
my mate was mechanic for alan cathcarts bike and was moaning that they had relaxed the rules this year and the matchy was a 700 cc job
