Using the mitre saw on its stand to cut some 50mm dia round wooden bar. My bloody face visor was literally arms length away from me, on the bench.
Saw dug into the wood and in what felt like 5 milliseconds there was a bang, the wood slammed into the guide at the back of the saw and was spat out at what felt like 100MPH into my forehead.
I packed everything up and went back into the house - could have been much worse and clearly my head wasn't sufficiently in the game to be doing what I was doing.

did you have the wood tight up against the back of the saw before cutting or was it floating?
had to pull it out went in deep
,food for thought on wearing goggles . could have been my face
