What if the spotty yoof does that and turns off the traction control so the next time you wang the throttle open it sends you skyward in a massive highside?
To be fair in a big van like yours loaded up I wouldn't want to go above 70mph anyway!
My Combo van has a limiter that I sometimes use at 25mph in town and it has a nice soft limit so you don't suddenly stop accelerating, also if I need to move quickly * it will if you floor it.
* quickly is a relative term with a 1.5 Vauxhall Combo
They do. With JCB you can set a perimeter area for a machine. If (say) a digger moves outside the perimeter, the Gizmo triggers a factory shutdown of the machine.

Friends Van had no fog lights has wiring as standard, he bought the lamps from a write off and a switch assembly they did not work, . controlled through the Body comp.
@Parm Our machines have built in monitoring if we disconnect battery we get a call to inquire if it was us, put them on the low loader a call to say do we know it is going up the A303 at 50 mph.
They can geofence them so the only work in a given aria same as the detonator boxes in a lot of quarry's

Really? Maps on a smart phone which incidentally works as a sat nav system when going somewhere. It even tells you the name of the street/road that it wants you to take. A smart phone costs a bit less than a car. The updates are free, just uses a tad of data.
Paying to have the maps updated is a nonsense, just like it was with the TOM TOM brand of sat navs. I would not be surprised if they have now gone bust.

Know my Garmin's come with free lifetime updates. Guess in response to the above.
Hate using my phone as a sat nav. Only do it for new builds

That is the great thing about my bike, it has Android Auto or Apple Carplay functionality rather than the home brew navigations that others have.

My TOM TOM has lifetime updates but it's pretty useless now to be honest.
For instance it still doesn't know that most of London is a 20mph limit, or where almost all the cycle only roads and changed priorities are, the speed camera database is appalling now and it can't even tell where the traffic jams are.
Pretty crap really!

Also the definition of "lifetime" is the manufacturer's run of the product. So when the product is discontinued it has reached then end of its lifetime.
I use my iPhone 8 Plus which I find more than adequate.
A lot of HGVs, especially higher end ones have been online for years. Manufacturer knows they've broken down before the driver does, but a lot has been driven by the cost of warranty repairs.
Gone are the days of engines going bang, and drivers claiming they have no idea why.
I remember being in the local Renault Trucks dealer probably over 10 years ago, and the service receptionist was arguing with a truck owner that the engine replacement was not warranty, as the driver had driven it for 6 miles showing as overheating before it finally ground to a halt. That job was probably over £20k, so you can understand why expensive vehicle manufacturers fit remote telematics.
Even your average run of the mill cars/vans datalog failures. Company vehicle drivers are some of the worst for ignoring warning lights, and keeping going until things grind to a halt.
Although some don't help themselves. We had one last year arguing that the engine wasn't knocking before it got recovered for low oil pressure. He even took a video of it running showing the low oil pressure message. He thought nobody would hear the knocking noise on the video. His case wasn't helped by the fact there was only a trickle of oil left in the sump

I can screen share to my stereo when I need to use the phone nagnav. Is that separate from the phone or a screen share?

It is Android Auto so you can get all the normal Android Auto stuff on screen. Normally it connects to the phone via USB but I have a wireless dongle so I don't even need to plug the phone in.
Can answer calls, call people even text and Whatsapp via voice recognition. Screen is a touch screen but that part is disabled whilst riding but all functions can be accessed from the left handle bar cluster.

There is a large garage just a couple of miles from me, They do all sorts of remote diagnosing and fixing of all sorts of trucks, cars, tractors etc Bull dozers and earth moving Volvo's,Charlie Campbell at Marske by the sea, Fixed quite a few big machines remotely over in Ireland,

I did a variation of that on a welding machine the company I worked for built, my boss had a suspicion the customer wouldn't make the final payment (our profit) once the machine was installed so I wrote a bit of code in the control PLC
A couple of days after the final payment was due the customer is on the phone demanding a site visit as his machine had stopped working with the screen showing "enter password". My boss explained that once the final payment had been made he would send the password, the money was in the account in a couple of hours
