The lower ones are spun, if you really want one of those I can put you in touch with who makes them (far cheaper than all the retailers) he’s been in the drysump game forever, and these are the culmination of 40 odd years of experience of producing drysump systems, he just does the tanks now.

I never opened a drysump tank in use.
Only at rebuild time to clean.
The splittable tanks are a recent thing
Most historics run plain Alloy tanks.
And TBH, unless you’ve grenaded the engine, put it in the wash tank and run the degreaser through it for an hour and it’ll be fine.
Most of the time if you have a big blow up, everything gets junked.
New tank, lines, coolers etc
If it’s a £20-50k engine build why would you risk it for £4-500 worth of consumables ?

You realise most people rallying only have like 10-15 minutes for servicing between stages?
If I've got an oil pressure issue and I want to split the tank quickly to check there's not been some debris got in there from topping the oil up in shoddy conditions, or if there's some sort of foaming/aeration issue, 5 minutes is HUGE chunk of your servicing time.
If you're not buying it with that in mind them you may as well not buy a splittable tank and save some money.

Its not a sump its a dry sump tank used in conjunction with a dry sump pan
Not everybody using a dry sump are stage rallying....
Of the ones that are, how many would want a splittable one?

I don't know of any sources to confirm this but my thoughts are that a lot of the money spent on motorsport parts is actually spent by road-going boy-racers & track-day drivers as opposed to serious competitors.
At the upper levels the big boys have the tools and the pockets to design & make everything in-house.
Then, the sort of people I know. They will have a well-equipped workshop and the skills to make it if they wanted. Most of them would rather spend the time racing so, if they want a custom part they'll know a guy they trust to make the part for them.
Or they'll buy a generic from a known brand like mocal.
The boy racers will see the £500 mocal tank in the demontweeks catalogue and go straight onto ebay to buy a £250 unbranded one that looks the same. If there is a polished one for £300 they'll have that.
No disrespect intended to to op (as I don't know who you are working for or what contacts you have to sell product too) but I'd guess if you are just starting out on making these parts it's the boyracer types you will be selling too.
If you have an established customer base/website/store it will be different but if the only outlets you will have for the stuff at the start will be ebay and Facebook market place you may as well target the product to the buyers that will be on there.
Shiney sells. As does a list of good sounding features that they will never use.
A splittable dry sump tank polished up with 10 titanium bolts will look good when the bonnet is up at the sunday morning car meet. Doesn't matter if it takes 30mins to get it apart as they can do that during the 4hrs they spend talking about it while some 20-something blonde girlfriend in a tiny dress is shivering with cold.

Exactly the point. If you're going for that market it's both tiny and there's a reason they want to split them fast. Otherwise you may as well not bother.
As for boy racers buying them - I'd agree for most things but not dry sump tanks, there really aren't many cars running dry sumps for track or show, even 100k show cars, they don't bother there's no advantage for them (often a disadvantage of routing oil hoses through their clean engine bays.)
They'd rather spend the £2000 the oil pan/oil pump/etc costs on something shiny for the top of the engine where it can be seen and polished. Even a lot of race cars don't run dry sumps simply because the money is better spent elsewhere for them.

A quick look at ebay sold items under "dry sump tank" shows 3 sales, 1 branded, 2 unbranded.

Maybe the boy racers I know are a bit older now and have bugger budgets but there are a few I know with turbo jap motors etc that have dry sumps. Maybe 4-5 off the top of my head. 2 are car shows only. The others do a few tracks days. None of them really fabricate anything themselves, mostly buy the bolt-on cheap versions then they bring it round as it won't quite bolt on as they expected.
They are all the sort of people that want strut braces made up from 50mm alloy tube 6mm thick when a crmoly one would be half the weight and twice as stiff...

I realise I do a fair bit of rallying, servicing, building cars and I have for 20+ years and that's the only scenario I've seen anyone wanting a split tank to open in a hurry, and the only real reason for having a split tank. Otherwise as someone else said you just remove a normal tank and clean it for winter work.
I don't know what you do but for rallying, dakar, safari, etc, 10-15 minute turnarounds are normal and they are hectic
Just slip the belt off and spin the pump up with a drill, builds oil pressure before starting too

I can see a few advantages to a dry sump tank made in two parts, scavenge is only strained and not filtered so its nice to be able to open up the tank to inspect/clean it out, also as a generic made tank its beneficial to be able to rotate the neck and change orientation of the top/bottom outlets.

We have a catch tank(tizer bottle) on the bears sidecar and it’s the first time Iv ever seen one filled up this year

Or both clearance holes, with cap screws and Nylok nuts.
Not until they drop the throttle in a big slide. Broken ribs are not unheard of. I learned that, being a smarty pants in my old hot rod. Very easy to get sideways with big power, but once the wheels stop spinning lateral grip comes back veeery quickly.
