Poor spots had her dignity robbed.
She cut her front lower n/s paw yesterday,I patched and bandaged her ,then took her to the vet for a check,aok,so a barrier was fitted to stop her licky licky,£57 for a 15 minute inspection and meta cam drench of 25ml!
Wish welding was that good.

We had a cone for one of our dogs but she didn't need it. Daughter took it way - to use in some sort of drinking game !

Not very often you see a vet struggling to put food on the table or buy a new car but you know what they say... "If don't make it as a vet you can always be a doctor"

At least she isn't giving a pitiful, withering look. You know - the one my wife normally gives me*.

The things we do for our furry friends. Only thing I will say is be very careful with metacam. Our Lakeland terrorist was hospitalised for 3 weeks and nearly died after an allergic reaction to it caused haemorrhagic diarrhea. A failure by the vet to spot the early signs of a reaction such as sudden diarrhea with traces of blood should have stopped the metacam, instead they prescribed kaolin to treat the squits.

thats cheap bloody robbers charged 800 quid for treatment they said bring him back after a week see how he is took him back and vet came out asked how he was . hese ok thanks thats 45 quid please and went back in his room robbin git

My son has a similar situation, he's got a rescue dog from Spain, a Sabueso Espanol, bred as a hunting dog, now more of a couch potato, insurance companies won't touch him.

If that's what vets charge, can you imagine what a trip to the doctor would cost us if we didn't have the NHS?
