I tried many things. Two new, long lengths of 40mm SHS were bent like a bannana, sod archimedies!
Chopped them up with a pickaxe and buried. Started the fence from the other end to avoid it.

I bought loads when they stopped selling the older style now I've worked out most of our lights are led.

trying to sell them on would involve dealing with people.

I've come to the conclusion that if something is worth less than £50 then it isn't worth the bother trying to sell it on. Generally I just give it to someone...I've had to throw a few bits but mostly I just pass them on.

Horrible things. Try getting one oit in 20 years time in hard clay! Impossible! Concrete is easier.

When I was building The Great Wall of Railway Sleepers my neighbour asked me to drive the digger into his back garden and remove four of them. The 'ickle 1.5 tonner struggled a bit!

These things are the devil, though I could pop one out with the digger. The spike won... Ground was a bit boggy and it sunk the digger to its belly plate! Spike was cut and burried


The others I encountered when doing the fence were chopped at ground level and beat down with a sledge hammer

Almost right.
They were in there as they were part of the planned new accommodation at Dover. The canceled ones.
