You've got my admiration there, we struggled a bit. The pipes actually failed when about 300 miles from home, so RAC brought it back.The pipes went on our D2 when it was in daily use, it is amusing all the effort put into a diagonally split system and then both rear pipe fail at the same time. Ours did it just as my wife pulled on the drive and both rear lines failed.
It didn't think they were that bad to do but I made the pipes and I have a Sykes hydraulic flaring tool so could do the ends in situ. I was all done within a few hours of my getting home and that included a trip out to get some parts.
I can see that such a routing (on top of the LH chassis rail) protects the lines in the event of any extreme off-road use, but LR engineers could have found a much more serviceable route.
Pipes were rotten and covered in crap. Given the initial cost of these vehicles. the use of cheap steel tube underneath the vehicle is dissapointing.
I didn't know about D2BC but have registered now.
