Parkside pilot arc conversion

I have the parkside performance plasma cutter. It has a pt31 torch.

I would really like a pilot arc conversion kit for it but Lidl never sold it in the uk.

could I buy the components separately?

I'm sure it's been done by somebody on here, ordered the torch from Germany I think?
Can't find the thread now though. It was nothing long ago

Yes I got a workmate in Berlin to get me one, works fine, although I feel it is slightly less powerful but might be dreaming.

@Onthespotwelding happy to pull it apart and take pics if you need

Will do mate, I'll post some pics over the weekend, might not be inclusive of required details so shout if more pics or details are required, no worries.

After my mate picked mine up I noticed they were no longer available on the Lidl Germany website so a good shout to look at making one up

Is there anything special about the parkside pilot arc torch or can you just get any generic pilot arc torch and slap it on there?

I’m not sure tbh, in the YouTube vid I posted up it has a strange configuration with the torch and return lead.

What the vid does not mention is that the Parkside pilot arc accessory is pretty well made and at 5m long was well worth the 30 Euro. Can't see them knocking them out at that price again if they sell them again, still not available on Lidl DE website.

As the kid says, this is the plug in setup

Getting the torch halves apart is a bit surgical, only 6 screws but the black plastic grip parts have to come off which means gentle prising to disconnect the wrap around locating tabs.
Not sure if this is enough detail, I could go further, it's still on warranty so don't want to f@it up
